Dinner date

The Adkersons came over for a Memorial weekend cookout. Jack and Em had their own table and savored the homemade ice cream for dessert.

Geyser Falls, Take 1

Grandmommy gave Jack season passes to Geyser Falls Waterpark for his birthday. We've been having a great time. These are a few pics from our first trip. (Jack was there too, but he was too busy swimming like a fish for me to get any pictures of him!)

Good-bye professor longhair

Brent has been sporting long hair for the last couple of years, and decided to get it chopped. Here are the last pics of the long hair. (To see the "after" pics, you'll have to take a look at the next post.)

Summer Fun

For the last several years we've participated in a foster parent program with the MSU baseball program. This year we were paired with Sam Frost. We had fun getting to know him and watching him play. Here's a picture from the end of the season dinner.

And, we play our own version of baseball in the backyard.

Jack starts martial arts

Jack has been asking to take karate. Grumps and Mimi gave him a few months of lessons for his birthday, and he started in May. He is one of the youngest in his class and is a little unfocused, but he LOVES it!

Jazz Fest 2011

Our tour of Louisiana continued with an overnight visit with our friends, the Lagraizes.

International visit

We have very close family friends who live in Japan. Wake (dad) is originally from NOLA, and his mother, Jananne, still lives there. They have been staying with Jananne since the tsunami hit Japan, and we had the chance to spend some time with them when we were there for Jazz Fest. Aika and Jack are the same age; their birthdays are just a couple of weeks apart. Mitsuki is 4 months older than Joe.
