Graduation

My (first) baby has graduated from pre-K and is all set to go to kindergarten in the fall. I cried. Not like tears filled my eyes and I delicately brushed them away; we're talking real crying. For those who know me well, this is probably no surprise. Jack has been at First United Methodist Church Weekday Ministries since he was just over 4 months old. It is going to be hard (for me) to transition from this small, family atmosphere to the large kindergarten.

Jack is filing into the chapel for the ceremony. (He is doing "bubble and a fish tail." This is the genious idea of some early childhood educator to teach children to be quiet and keep their hands to themselves. You can't talk when you're "holding a bubble in your mouth." Go ahead, give it a try. The children assume this almost without being told...brilliant!)

Easter 2011

The Easter Bunny ate the broccoli and carrots we left and filled Jack's and Joe's baskets with lots of goodies.

Determination

After a bit of a struggle, Joe was very proud of his accomplishment. He lifted his lawnmower and placed it on top of his dump truck.

Then, he decided he wanted to ride it...

But, no matter how hard he tried, that didn't go very well.

He even had storage space for his necessities.

Joe LOVE to ride bikes. Unfortunately, he wants to ride the "big boy" bikes instead of the tricycles, and that means someone has to hold him up and do the leg work for him.

Jack's 5th Birthday

Before breakfast on the big day, Jack opened his gift from Mommy & Daddy. It was a baseball glove. He ate his pancakes and headed out to his first t-ball practice!



After practice and lunch, it was time for the party...

The party had a dinosaur theme.

And, a dinosaur laid eggs in our sandbox...I'm a pretty terrible photographer and didn't capture the moment very well, but the dinosaur eggs (that I made :) went over very well.  The kids decided to sit on them, and then they broke them open and found the baby dinosaurs inside.
